Civil Weddings



Civil Wedding performed in Italy is legally recognized throughout the world.

In Italy,civil ceremony must take place in buildings approved by the Italian government.

However,most Town Halls are located in historical buildings, charming villas, elegant Palaces, panoramic terraces even medieval castles: so many venues to satisfy every taste!

Depending on your wedding destination, Municipality you are required to sign a Declaration of Intent  usually 2 days prior the wedding).

In case of divorce of a woman or widow, the Italian law does not allow to re-marry unless 300 days have elapsed from the date of the Decree Absolute or decease of the previous spouse.This does not apply to the groom.

The ceremony lasts about 30 minutes and it is performed in italian by the Mayor or a Civil Registrar and translated to you in english by an interpreter legally required, that we always provide.
